Garden City Mine

Copper Country Heritage Guide - Types

The Garden City Mine was formed in 1855 along the Ashbed Lode just southeast of Eagle River. The mine would end up building a sizable surface plant, including a small stamp mill, but could never find any considerable amounts of copper. The mine would close down in 1866 and would end up under the ownership of the neighboring Phoenix Mine.
