We missed the hoist house unfortunately, but it couldn't have been too close to the boiler house. The woods near that ruin were pretty sparse, and we couldn't see anything nearby.

There's a hoist foundation like this still sitting in the woods from the Hancock #2 shaft, even though it was only for a temporary hoist

So the building housed three drums, one for A-shaft and two for B-Shaft and a compressor? Those foundations are pretty busy almost need a detailed sketch to grasp it all.(with dc's stick man counterpart for sizing of course). Any 1938 overhead photos of this set-up?

The massive ruins you found in this post do belong to the Amygdaloid Mine and are already pictured on the site at http://www.coppercountryexplorer.com/2010/07/mines-of-the-delaware-region/. It is the large building in the center right of the image at the top of that post. The shaft house to the left of that next to the poor rock pile is the Amygdaloid Mine.

A & B Shafts started out with hoists on top and then went to a common hoist complex down below with enough cable diverters scattered across the area that would make a stockholder cry.
C-Shaft was conected to the old Rockland Adit.
The Bumblebee location Michigan sunk more money into still as an adit with a heavy steel door with an opening for the bats.

I thought the C shaft was a bit farther away from A&B, sucks without a map to see how things laid out. I know it had its own hoist, since they ordered a new one to replace the one at B shaft which was originally ordered for C shaft.
I did find mention at boiler house #2, wherever that was, they installed a new stack to replace 3 old smaller diameter ones.
I wish I had the money they used here to try and make a go of it. Its just amazing.
Oh I was wrong above, it wasn't the old Rockland mine they went to next, it was the new E shaft.
What really got me, is they shut down things, and would start something new, but never mention moving, say a hoist from something shut down to the new shaft, like E, they would start from scrtach again.
